What is a heat-activated tape?
A "film" of heat-activated adhesive is applied to one side of a carrier film; the other side is coated with a PSA. A release liner coated on both sides with silicone protects the PSA side. This construction is designed for difficult-to-bond substrates such as low permeability foams, high density polyethylene foams, polystyrene foam, and for rubbers when they are directly extruded on top of the heat-activated side.
