What is MVTR and how is it measured?
MVTR stands for moisture vapor transmission rate. It measures the rate at which moisture permeates through a wound dressing measured in grams/meter /day. Human skin MVTR is ~200-400 grams/meter² /day. Our thin films vary from 500-3500 grams/meter² /day. They are measured via the upright method of testing with a MOCON at 38^o C and 0%/100% RH.
